Triad Baptist’s first church plant is officially on its own in Winston-Salem’s Washington Park Community

The first church planted by Triad Baptist wasn’t expecting to own its own building and land this quickly.

The Rev. Bill Campbell, pastor of Memorial Reformed Church, calls City Park Church an ‘answer to prayer’ as the new church plant puts its nearly empty building to use again for Jesus Christ.

In a Connections interview, Jason and Julie Johnson reflect on 25 years of service to Triad Baptist and leaving to help found its new City Park Church plant in Winston-Salem.

Called City Park Church, Triad Baptist Church’s first church plant will meet Washington Park community residents of Winston-Salem where they are through authentic living, service, preaching, teaching, and worship.

Toby Pegram, who will plant Triad’s first church in south central Winston-Salem, believes reaching people for Jesus Christ requires Christ-honoring lives, relationships, teaching, and worship.

A new steering team led by deacon Jason Johnson will begin work in early 2019 to help Triad launch its first church outside of Kernersville.

The Triad Baptist committee looking for the church’s first church plant pastor is on track to extend an offer in July.
