NEHEMIAH'S FEW

 Nehemiah's Few

Nehemiah's Few is part of our Men's Fellowship group; this group is comprised of men with carpentry, electrical, landscaping, plumbing, and other household "handyman" skills who are willing to help those in our congregation but more importantly those in our community. We focus on the shut-in, widowed, elderly, or those who have special needs but limited resources. We strive to not only meet physical needs but also spiritual needs, sharing the Gospel and light of Jesus Christ with our community.

Who We Are

Our ministry vision comes from Nehemiah, the Bible’s master builder. When he heard that Jerusalem’s walls were rubble and its gates burned by fire, Nehemiah “sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted and prayed before the God of Heaven” (Nehemiah 1:4). After making arrangements with the Persian king, Nehemiah returned with a “few men” to survey the damage. Then he led the successful effort to rebuild the city and the peoples’ faith. Likewise, we’re the few serving Christ by serving others.

What We Do

We complete the projects after an initial visit to survey damage. We ask that those helped provide funding for materials when possible. Our only request is that those who have been helped will share what Nehemiah’s Few have done for them. God has been so good to us, and we continue to marvel at how Nehemiah’s Few has used the time and talents of so many to share His love. Please join us in praying that our hearts will remain focused on glorifying God in everything we do.

Since 2004, Nehemiah’s Few relies on referrals from individuals and community groups to meet needs in Kernersville, NC, and surrounding communities—completing an average of more than 25 jobs each month.
