Since 2004, TBC has hosted exciting and dynamic Upward Soccer, Basketball, Flag Football, and Cheerleading leagues for elementary and middle school-aged children. As one of Triad's largest outreach ministries, our Upward Sports programs strive to help participants develop a healthy competitive spirit and the fundamentals of sports, while reaching them with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is based on Luke 2:52:
"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.”
Upward coaches, referees, and parents strive to help players develop in four ways through sports:

At Upward Sports, families matter. Our leagues give families all the benefits of participating in team sports while protecting them from hectic travel schedules and the win-at-all costs mentality that burns out young athletes. With just a one-hour practice and one-hour game each week, our leagues conveniently fit into busy family schedules.
Upward Basketball & Cheerleading (Winter)
Our Upward Basketball & Cheerleading league accomodates participants ranging from K5-8th grade. The Upward Basketball & Cheerleading season begins with team practices in December, and games from early January to late February.

Upward Soccer (Spring)
Our Upward Soccer league accomodates participants ranging from K5-8th grade. The Upward Soccer season begins with team practices in April, and games from late April until the first Saturday in June.

Our Upward Flag Football & Cheerleading league accomodates participants ranging from K5-8th grade. The Upward Basketball & Cheerleading season begins with team practices in August, and games from early September to late October.
