Triad Baptist is adding a new Sunday morning acoustic worship service as the church temporarily returns to three services Sept. 17 because of growth.

Giving to a special end-of-year offering has allowed Triad to begin developing 92 acres it acquired in December 2014.

The largest land purchase in the history of Triad Baptist church is headed to members after Nov. 4 rezoning approval by the Kernersville Board of Aldermen.

Triad's largest land purchase -- and a new complex of athletic fields -- moved one step closer to reality with the Kernersville Planning Board's recommended approval of the rezoning.

Triad will present its initial plans to build a complex of athletic fields on part of the site as it meets with the Kernersville Planning Board Oct. 13 about rezoning all 92 acres of the land it plans to buy.

Triad has taken the next step in transforming the current sanctuary into the new home of Kids Street Church.

Triad members gave the New Building Team the go ahead Oct. 20 to delay the closing on 92 acres of land behind the church until the end of December 2014.
