It is hoped a hat will meet...
a physical need for warmth and dryness during cold and stormy weather,
an emotional need of a feeling loved and cared about by the recipient of the hat,
and most importantly, a spiritual need by sharing a Gospel tract with each hat.

Since 2012, hats have been distributed to US Military in Afghanistan through Daughters of the American Revolution, Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, Angel Tree prison ministry, Pro-Life groups, hospitals, rescue missions, homeless shelters, orphanages, street ministries, foreign missionaries, various other groups, and to individuals passing by anytime, anywhere...possibly “entertaining angels unawares.”

The annual "Yarn Drive" is held during the month of February.

Clean, machine washable yarn of any amount or color is being collected to help us reach our goal of 1600 handmade hats in 2024.

Got left over yarn? We’ll take it!

  • Marble size, golf ball, and baseball size left over yarns are perfect for our ministry. (Larger size yarn balls and new skeins of yarn are acceptable, too!)
  • Unfinished yarn projects (such as scarves, hats, afghans) that you’ve never gotten around to completing can be donated. We can unravel these items and reuse the yarn!

Look for white collection baskets at entrances during the entire month of February. We sincerely appreciate your support and donations for this ministry.
