Eleanor’s Light Ministry will be having an event in honor of Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day on October 13th from 6:30-9:30 pm. This will take place in the Youth Room. There will be a personal memorial for each child. If you have experienced pregnancy or infant loss, we would be honored for you to attend, so that we may celebrate your baby’s memory with you. Sign up for the event here.
'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. '
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Eleanor’s Light is a support ministry for women (and their families) who have lost a child to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. In the United States, it is estimated that 25% of women and their families will experience pregnancy and/or infant loss. Despite so many women and families losing children in this way, pregnancy loss is still a taboo subject, leaving many women grieving in isolation. It is our hope to end this by reaching out to those in need, and meeting them right where they are. In order to better serve in this area, Eleanor’s Light is comprised of mothers who have also experienced pregnancy or infant loss.
Our primary goal is to provide hope and encouragement to those who are grieving their child. We serve those in need by:
- Praying for those experiencing loss.
- Comforting grieving women in the hospital and/or in the comfort of their homes.
- Providing meals, supplies, childcare, or other resources during difficult times.
- Assistance through mentorship and support group(s).
If you, or your loved one, are in need of support during or after pregnancy or infant loss, please contact the church office. You may leave a voicemail at 336-996-7573 ext. 189 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Someone will be in touch with you as soon as possible.
