Dr. Robert Decker has been the Lead Pastor of Triad Baptist Church for over 25 years. Pastor Rob is a gifted communicator and leader with a visionary approach, dedicated to conveying the Gospel's truth clearly and powerfully. His passion for connecting people with Jesus and his commitment to sharing Triad Baptist with the community reflect his deep calling and determination to serve God in all aspects of his life. He firmly believes in the "local church" as the vibrant community of believers and the "true church" as the universal body of Christ. |

MY STORY
Pastor Rob Decker was raised in a Christian home and received Jesus Christ as his Savior while a teenager. After high school, he applied and was accepted to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to study aeronautical engineering. His father asked him to consider attending a Christian college for one year before going on to Embry-Riddle. Wanting to follow his father's advice, he agreed on the condition that the Christian college had an aviation program. This decision led him to Carolina University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During his time there, listening to chapel messages and influenced by his Bible professors, he was profoundly impacted and surrendered to full-time Christian service. He completed his aviation training and earned a degree in theology as well. Most significantly, he met his future wife, Bettina, whom he married after graduation.
Pastor Rob went on to receive a master's degree in biblical counseling and divinity studies, as well as a doctorate in ministry. He has served as lead pastor at Triad Baptist Church for over 25 years.
Pastor Rob and Bettina have been blessed with four children and eleven grandchildren. Bettina has been dedicated to rearing their children to love God and partnering with Rob in his ministry. She often expresses that her greatest joy is being called "mom" by Alison, Zach, Nick, and Austin, and being part of God's plan to help bring each of them to a saving faith in Jesus Christ. They have cherished watching their children grow in the knowledge of Christ and seek their own ways to serve Him.
