Restart - Addictions Ministry
7:00pm – 9:00pmCategory: Community Event
What is Restart?
Restart is a ministry specifically centered around the reformation and life restoration of those who find themselves in bondage to sin. This "recovery" program uses Biblical mentorship, Scripture, and support materials to help people change the life-destroying habits that have dominated their lives for so long. We believe that Jesus is on a mission to redeem, restore, and reconcile all things to himself. Restart operates on the premise that Jesus wants to take those dark, ugly, life-dominating sins and bring light to the shadows.
Restart has helped heal the hurts and minds of men and women from a wide spectrum of hurts, habits, or hang-ups. Sometimes there is a misconception that Restart is limited to those who struggle with only drug and alcohol addictions. This Christ-centered program offers a safe and confidential environment for anyone struggling with any of the multitudes of issues, such as childhood sexual abuse, grief, control issues, gambling addiction, depression, anxiety, pornography, eating disorders, suicidal thoughts, abortion recovery, anger, and much more. It is not limited by age, gender, marital status, or religious background.
How Does Restart Work?
The application of the Beatitudes and 12 Steps helps free participants from addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors while developing them spiritually. Restart provides an opportunity to deal with the challenges of both the past and present. Following worship as a large group, participants break into smaller groups with people facing similar challenges.
NOTE: There is no registration for Restart. Anyone and everyone over 18 is welcome to come to Restart to experience the healing that takes place in a Christ-centered environment.
